Our Cause

Baltinglass Golf Club

Baltinglass golf club is an 18 hole course in West Wicklow. It borders counties Kildare and Carlow. It proudly gives a friendly welcome to all, both golfers and non golfers. It has a strong history of self help since it’s foundation in 1928. There is only 1 full time employee on the course, supplemented by community employment scheme workers, and members gladly give their time to maintain the facility to a very high standard. Consideration for our environment is important. Thousands of trees have been planted and pollinator friendly flowers and plants are always maintained. Areas are set aside for our wildlife which includes deer, rabbits, foxes, squirrels, some red, buzzards, woodpecker and many others. Our clubhouse bar and restaurant are open to all and regularly used for family occasions from christenings to funerals and everything in between. We also have some excellent golfers, and some younger members play off scratch and better. This is due to the excellent training and coaching provided by our professional Tom O’ Neill. In the past few years some of our teams have reached the All Ireland final stages. We pride ourselves in being a diverse and inclusive club and enjoyment for all is a key driver of the club.

Thank you for our support.
